And so they should Joe, and our FA should tell FIFA to F***k right off and wear the poppies, or withdraw from the matches

what is the point of wearing the RESPECT badge on their sleeves??? but not be allowed to wear a poppie, Tosser's

I AGREE MY FRIENDS,in fact i have just put a thread on facebook on this same subject, euro and fifa dictating what we should do
every one seems to enjoy trying to knock us down.all these weak livered white flag waving countries who wouldnt be here only for us. it realy claws me when i think of all the lives that there were lost for them then they have the cheek to tell us we cant do this and we cant do that,,we should tell them to stick international football and if it comes to that the olympics to,,we need them both like a pain in the arse,we should go on that field wearing poppys and if they dont like it, just do a lap of honour and F,,, em ,and im sure
all the Brits would give them the best ovation ever seen, our fallen heros and our respect for them come before anything, come on you guys in that big house in london ,stand up and be counted, if not ,get out,and go and join them..we fought for our rights ,and won the battle.

It's like commentators have been suggesting though. Whilst poppy wearing may not seem to be a political statement per se, it can sometimes be interpreted as such and mean different things to different people. For example, I'd wear a poppy in remembrance of those who died in the 20th century wars, but there are those who might include the illegal wars of the 21st century. I don't go along with that. People moan about Muslims burning poppies, but say you were an arab and innocent family members were incinerated by a hellfire missile from a joystick controlled predator drone - you mightn't be as sympathetic.

well done Prince william, sport should fly the flag and proundly wear the poppy for those who can no longer watch the sport that they enjoyed before they gave up their lives for the freedom we now enjoy.
