A good game spoiled by the ref,the Aussies should have had a player sent off or at least sin binnied for the high tackle, the try that was disallowed the ref said a double movement he should have gone to the screen but he did not,the aussies got one in the last couple of minutes and he went to the screen for that one,Rangi

Rangi Chase had a bad game he gave away to much possesion, and one kick he did was shocking from his own twenty metre line, the aussies just about deserved the win but i fancy England against New Zealand next week.the post above i was doing just vanished before i could finish it.

Tim Sheens certainly won the propaganda battle leading up to the game.
Its about time us wingeing Poms started to do a bit of wingeing about the Standard of Refereering we get when playing Australia. None of the contenious calls seem to go our way as has been mentioned the High tackle, the penalties for lying on in the tackle, the disallowed try, the try that was given that had an element of doubt of obstruction ( was the video ref scared of the Aussie backlash)The Fisticuffs with no sinbinning, It will be interesting to see the outcome of the incident that was put on report.

We did not deserve to lose this match..

Neither did we deserve to win it. We should have been constructive enough in the first half to turn all that dominance into tries

Not enough publicity given to this sport of our town!!!

2 local lads played in the winning team for the U18's England Community Lions squad v France on Friday. Never any mention of these achievements by our young players.

Surely that's a major failing of their club's publicity policy. They should be bombarding the local press and media with news like that

I agree with you, the game was once again marred by a bad ref. Are we no longer punishing the head high tackle which was blatently obvious, he wasn't ducking or anything like that, he deliberately went for the head. In my opionion he should not have remained on the pitch.

Then there was the fight, the first punch landed by the aussie what happens absolutely nothing again. It is time we got some good refs with the bottle to sin bin and send off these offenders before someone gets badly injured.

The try that was disallowed was also not a double movement which was obvious to anyone watching, so why was it not obvious to the ref, and why did he not go to the video ref for confirmation. Had he done so in my opinion the try would have stood.

England played well, but I would like to see an English team made up of English players. Why was Rob Burrows not selected red hot player at the moment,. Why did he not blood our younger players our own Foster and Lomax, also in good form. What kind of a message does it send to our young players, you are not good enough to play for England, so we have to look further afield, not good enough there are some cracking players coming through now, so why not use them.

Having said that bring on New Zealand, should be a really good match.

Well done to those two young players, get the media involved and let them know just how good our young players are.

the referee didn't score 1 try for australia, so how can he be at fault? the fault for the defeat lies fairly and squarely with the buffoon who is the english coach, a failed super league coach who's selection of the old guard instead of our promising younger players was disgraceful. the only genuine world class player we have is tomkins but, i am sure that given their chance the likes of lomax, cudjoe, atkins, foster, charnley etc etc etc would develop as well. and why oh why was crabtree not in the squad? another player who has proved in the past that he is good enough to stand toe to toe with the aussies.............perhaps it's because he doesn't play for hull or leeds!!!

Lomax had to pull out of the sqad with injury Swimmer but would he have been picked ahead of chase anyway,I dont`think Chase (as good as he is) should be playing for England any way he is`nt english he is a kiwi and would have played for them if they had asked him to Mind you he did have a hand in 3 tries pity they were for the Aussies
