The auto biography of Paul Loughlin titled "From Grass To Glass. A Rugby League Journey" was launched in the Sprayhurst Social Club last Tuesday night to an enthusiastic audience. It is now on sale in Wardleworths for those who live near. It is also available for those who don't live near from the web site of London League Publications at www.llpshop.co.uk.

I always thought tht Paul loughlin was treated rather badly due to the return of Phil Veivers. I reckon he would have been one ot the all time great Full Backs.

14th September 1986 was my first game as Carlisle Chairman. We drew Saints at Knowsley Road in the first round of the Lancs Cup. We lost to a new record score of 112 - 0 and Paul Loughlin set a new points record of 40 points via 16 goals and 2 tries. Believe it or not, the coach-load of Carlisle fans sang we'll support you ever more in the Saints bar after the game and Carlisle went on to have a decent season
