A superb performance by Saints in every aspect of the game. I honestly thought we'd lose heavily.

I must have lived away for too long. I thought the referee was OK but there again I usually do.

I actually thought the referee was abysmal.

Phil BENTham. says it all for me.

As someone who stopped following Saints when Rugby League went to summer rugby, I have three comments.
1. What a great game, deservedly won by St. Helens
2.When are Saints fans going to stop moaning about referees?
3. Can anyone explain the organisation of the playoffs?

It's part of the unwritten laws of the game: ref's MUST be critisised.
Great win

Eddie, I'd love to but I'd need to look it up. Life's too short to memorise the Superleague play-off structure. A bit like memorising the definition and rules of Powerplay or the Duckworth Lewis rule in ODI cricket

Wigan where beat in every department on Sunday,i think Wembley took it out of them, but Saints played well,Wigan where beat in the first round last year then went on to win it,Saints have won the battle but they have not won the war.

I don't think anyone's writing the goons off yet. However they;ve got a very hard game against Catalans on Sunday. If they play like they did against Saints they're gone. Plus you'll be lucky to have another ref as determined to keep your lot in the match like Bentham did.

Anyhow it was uncle Maurice himself that once said "Any team that wins the challenge cup and nothing else is soon forgotten".
