Prescot Roll of Honour - 95 Years Ago Today

Dedicated at the height of the Somme battles, it was one of the first civic memorials in the UK.
On the same day, my great Uncle, James Nulty of Hill Street, Prescot, was killed in action while engaged in the Battle of Ginchy with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers.
James Nulty and over 300 other men of Prescot who fell in the Great War are commemorated on my website at www.prescot-rollofhonour.info which also gives details of the memorial unveiling and dedication

I'll try to get it scanned/digitised over the weekend. It's from around 1901 so he's a bit younger and less stern looking, I suspect !!

I dropped an email to the six councillors representing various parts of Prescot with the same text as in the first post of this thread.
I will keep you all informed of any replies - one so far.......
