I watched the match against the SHAFE team. One memory sticks clearly in my mind because the incident involved was so startling. SHAFE was awarded a penalty kick between the half way and 25. Their kicker didn't tee up the ball; he simply placed it on the ground (can't remember which orientation) and walloped it over the bar with ease. Eat your heart out Austin Rhodes!

I went to see them too, 1960 sounds about right. I'd never seen anything like it LOL decided to try playing netball but for some reason it wasn't the same. I wonder how many of us on here DID go? Anyone who was around, probably - except poor little Swimmer. I had signed pictures from them too if I remember right, but they disappeared over the years.
