Saints were dire. Looked clueless and totally unenthusiastic. Quins played like we did a few seasons ago.
Kyle Eastmond did absolutely nothing at all and with Leon Pryce out a team simply can't function without a decent 6 and 7.
Yes, there were 3 newish players and we were without Wilkin, Soliola and Wheeler but the lack of creativity was dismal.
I can't for the life of me understand why Simmons continues to leave Jamie Foster on the bench. That lad is going to be the next big thing.
Maybe the coach needs to do a bit of tinkering.
Thoughts from the men in this house include putting Lomax at full back (he is Wello's natural replacement) and putting Wello at second row and Meli at centre with Foster on the wing. soliola into the pack?
Whatever the coach does he needs to do it quick.
Because of the tedious journey to Widnes (nearly 50 mile round trip for us and we're fairly local)and the crap weather, to say nothing of the performance on the field and a stadium with zero atmosphere he needs to act quick

I agree with CM and Gangdad about Wellens he has a superb rugby brain and he could use it better in the second row. I also have no idea Jamie Foster is being left on the bench because he certainly makes a difference when he plays, again I agree with CM.
Lets hope Leon is back soon, but as for Kyle Eastmond's promise I think that we can see that it was made tongue in cheek and he has no intention of playing to his capacity. If that is the case then get rid now.
