London really are Saints bete noir. The only comment I've read was the usual one-eyed vitriol on Red Vee slagging off Kyle Eastmond. Any informed comments on our performance last night?

Actually Alan, redvee posters were right.
Saints were dire. Looked clueless and totally unenthusiastic. Quins played like we did a few seasons ago.
Kyle Eastmond did absolutely nothing at all and with Leon Pryce out a team simply can't function without a decent 6 and 7.

Yes, there were 3 newish players and we were without Wilkin, Soliola and Wheeler but the lack of creativity was dismal.
I can't for the life of me understand why Simmons continues to leave Jamie Foster on the bench. That lad is going to be the next big thing.
Maybe the coach needs to do a bit of tinkering.
Thoughts from the men in this house include putting Lomax at full back (he is Wello's natural replacement) and putting Wello at second row and Meli at centre with Foster on the wing. soliola into the pack?
Whatever the coach does he needs to do it quick.
Because of the tedious journey to Widnes (nearly 50 mile round trip for us and we're fairly local)and the crap weather, to say nothing of the performance on the field and a stadium with zero atmosphere he needs to act quick

Just watched Rangi Chase playing for Cas.I think saints should get his name on a contract,in case as a lot of people are saying Cas may not get a license next season.Get him signed now.Incidentally CM i think wello for second row is a decent shout

That's the worst I've seen Saints play in a long time. It most definitely wan't all down to Eastmond. There were many players just as bad. But the fact that Eastmond could have played in suit and not got a single grass stain on it says something about his contribution.

How can any rugby player worth a shirt not get it dirty I think that proves the case the sooner they get rid of Eastmond the better he does not want to be there and from reports from people on redvee he does not respect the fans. As CM has said the journey to get to the stadium even for those who have cars can be difficult and by all accounts there is no atmosphere. Lets just hope the new ground will grow to have the same place in the fans hearts, we shall have to wait and see Atleast it should be easier to get to

I agree with CM and Gangdad about Wellens he has a superb rugby brain and he could use it better in the second row. I also have no idea Jamie Foster is being left on the bench because he certainly makes a difference when he plays, again I agree with CM.

Lets hope Leon is back soon, but as for Kyle Eastmond's promise I think that we can see that it was made tongue in cheek and he has no intention of playing to his capacity. If that is the case then get rid now.

Hi gandad, sounds like it might be but also the Saints aren't playing the best at the moment. Like I said on my previous post we will have to see what happens when the playing improves or we move to what will then be the second knowsley rd, and hope that the knowsley road atmosphere follows the players and fans to the new ground.
