If I'm not mistaken, our rep from north Cumbria is heavily involved in the new club being set up to play in the north-east conference.

As a big RL fan - and one who likes not to go in for the sort of one-eyed supporting of a single club - I, for one, would like to wish him and them All the Best.

Well thanks for that Llanyb. East Cumbria Crusaders RLFC is very much a fresh start with new young inexperienced players playing at Creighton RUFC just off the A6 as it leaves the city. We're determined to continue to spread the code

Well, we won our first match 54 - 0 away at Peterlee. This week we're at home to Northallerton.

Gangad, not a cat in hell's chance of a Cumbrian Superleague team. I think that now Widnes are in and Wakefield are favourites to be chucked out, the next Superleague club will be in Scotland or Ireland or even Barcelona

Saw that on the RFL site - Well Done.

Looking at the other teams in the group, you're gonna clock up a load of miles for away games.

[Edit for crap use of mouse left button - don't ask]

No choice really Llanyb until BARLA in West Cumbria switch to summer. Even then, there's not much difference in mileage between East Cumbria to say, Tyneside and East Cumbria to West Cumbria
