Les

I didn't play that big a part in the project, so I wouldn't expect a mention. I provided some of the history of the memorials and when Cllr Morgan read out his thanks at the end, I received a mention.

I much prefer to sit in the background than to be on show Posted Image

There are other people who played a significant role in this project and they're the ones who should receive the plaudits.

UPDATE - I was speaking to somebody earlier who said that the Echo article doesn't mention BICC. Is that correct? I can't find any reference to this story on the Echo online

ANOTHER UPDATE:- Found it on the Daily Post site (rather than the Echo) http://www.liverpool...92534-29580695/

Fair enogh, Stephen. I too keep my light under a bushel. I stopped taking the Echo a few years ago, when it stopped printing the County edition. Bet that dates me!!

Yeah, didn't it have a Red Rose in the top corner, with the "city" edition having a Liver bird?

Visited the Church Yard (18/10/11) the Memorial looks first class. Great site and setting. Well done to everyone concerned.
