They should stop all chicken wing tackles they are downright dangerous and you don't have to be on the receiving end of one to know that.

The top dogs who are running superleague should totally ban this technique.Someone is going to get totally disabled. The main culprits are the coaching staff who condone this, basicly it,s a wrestling move, one against one. When you have two or three tacklers involved you cant defend youself, resulting injury. Also i think that a player that causes this injury should be banned from the game for as long as the injured player is out of the game.

Put it this way steve you probably wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of one. They are nasty prob break an arm or put something out of joint because they pull on the arm and the shoulder.

Does any one know if this chicken wing thing can be done accidently in the tackle,or is it always intentional. If so it should always carry a lengthy ban

I am not sure grandad but it involves pulling on the shoulder and the joint from what my husbands said and I don't really see how that could be accidental. High tackle there is always an element of doubt as to the intention, I don't really see how this could be an accident. In my opinion it should be eradicated from our game before someone is seriously hurt.

Going off Lima getting two weeks ban for two seperate incidents of chicken wings it seems the autorities are being pretty lenient,How can they give a lengthy ban for this tackle now.

hi gangad it seems to me that they will only do something about when someone gets seriously injured, and they will do what they always do bring a ruling in on it when it is too late.

Will amaze me if the two match ban doesn't get overturned and he only sits one out.

If they don't do something soon it will creep back into the game and become more prevalant instead of eradicating it from our game.

Hi gangad you would have to get someone who knows what damage can be done b this sort of tackle to speak out. Maybe if someone actually relises the damage that can be done with something like that they may think about banning it from our game. Lima has been banned for two matches which includes the world cup challage my daughter has just informed me so maybe they are doing something about it. We will just have to see if it stands.
