And why anyone would want that odious yard dog John Terry as a team mate is beyond comprehension.

and i also think that liverpool made a good business move by letting him go because for me suarez is a more complete player, 49 goals in 48 games for ajax last season!!!!

Thought my memory was playing tricks but this is the own goal I associate with "Careless Hands" by Gary Sprake playing for Leeds against Liverpool at Anfield (Googled Gary Sprake own goal)
To quote from Careless Hands, a book about Sprake's career:
Few people become infamous for just one mistake. That was the fate of goalkeeper, Gary Sprake. It was on 9 December 1967 while playing for Leeds United against Liverpool FC Sprake made an error that is still recalled by football fans to this day.
Gary had picked up a back pass from Jack Charlton and was trying to set up a quick counterattack, as he so often did, by quickly throwing the ball out to Terry Cooper who was, however, quickly closed down. Changing his mind, the Leeds keeper decided to check the throw and pull the ball back into the safety of his chest. But as a result of the icy conditions the ball slipped, went over his shoulder and everyone in the ground knew where it landed. This was probably with the exception of referee, who was said to have turned to Jack Charlton and asked what had happened and what he should do. With typical dry humour Jack replied, ‘I think the silly so and so has thrown it in his own net; youll have to give a goal. At half-time, Careless Hands, a hit pop song at the time by Des O'Connor, was played over the PA system and the title has been cruelly linked to Sprake ever since.
