Attached File  red sky2.jpg   69.12K   27 downloadsHello all ,Happy new Year to everyone.I treated myself to a new Sony Alpha 550 just before Christmas and have been taking some very amateurish photos.I have uploaded one that i took near my Daughters house at Greenodd near Ulverston,Cumbria.I've had a play with my Photoshop 7 and enhanced the sunset. What do you think, should i flog the camera and give up.Please be gentle with me.Oh i forget to tell you i'm still using auto mode.

Jimro this was done using a Graphics Tablet and Paintshop Pro X3. similar to Photoshop

It's only a example what anyone can learn by a bit of practice (and a lot of time)

Sorry Suzanne did,nt put photo on last post.
Luv Dad

Jmosh, excellent work, as you said a lot of patience needed to do this sort of thing, also i think some artistic tendencies come into it.I have just bought some software(black magic) which enables me to colour black and white photos(i,m better at colouring in it,s easier). I have coloured b/w with Photoshop but this software is so much easier and faster to use.At the moment i am practicing on b/w photos from our wedding day in 1962 and they seem to be coming on ok.I will attach a good one when i can achieve it.
