Has anybody heard the story about a man who could do his. It was said that he could bounce on water rather like the Dam Busters. I was told that this a sport undertaken by a few competitive men and of course for money. He would carry a weight in each hand and this would increase his momentum. I know it sounds unlikely but Ive heard it from a few sources and think it was mentioned on a TV Programme. I think he was called Ted Forber.

Looking at those thigh muscles, I'm not surprised he could clear the canal!

My Dad told me about him he could jump in to a wicker basket of eggs and out again without breaking or cracking any When he jumped over the st helens canal they tied a small piece of wood with strings two ties to each sides of the banking he jumped he skimmed on that small piece of wood like you skim stones over water and landed on the other side He was billed as the human kangaroo

My uncle told me about him. He said he carried a house brick in each hand which he swung halfway across giving him lift and momentum like the modern hichcick

my Grandad used to tell me about him. From the "old fashioned" look on Gran's face, I'd say that most of it was at best exaggerated and most probably complete fiction
