They no more deserve one now than they did in 1995 when they were first turned down

As a Saints' supporter, I'm not sure why we'd want another Superleague club on the doorstep - possibly reducing our home support.

With Wrexham , Saints, Warrington and Wigan all in the same small area it'd make no sense at all

Hello Johnny,i hope that they get in super league, the fans round here would rather travel to Widnes, the other teams that have applied to join are Barrow and Halifax, and dont forget the teams what have been mentioned,Wigan,Warrington,Saints,Wrexham they are local derbies,so that brings in more money which teams badly need, its better than travelling to the other teams on a wet friday are saturday night.

Widnes have the new stadium which gives them points, but doesn't it also go off playing ability which hasn't been that good, also attendance at the matches. Is it a viable propostition for superleague status.

we hold the record for a non super league attendance, have regularly been the best supported team outside super league and on several occasions have had higher attendances than super league games played on the same week ends the potential for larger crowds in super league has already been proved from last time we were in the top flight (before being shafted for the french).
we have a healthy bank balance and last season posted a £i million profit. with a turnover of £2.5 million.
our under 18's academy is the only one which is run by a non super league team and this season they finished top of the league even though they were playing super league clubs academies every week.
we have met the on field criteria of winning a major trophy for championship clubs and since then we have concentrated on the infrastucture of the club as opposed to payng inflated wages to has beens just to go for a quick fix of success (ala halifax and barrow)..
our stadium is the envy of more than half of the current super league clubs (thats why saints are playing there next season)

i make that 5 good reasons why we should be in super league in 2012 .................

Ah but, as they say ;) !

Your gates prior to Superleague when you were in the old Div 1 were historically poor despite being World Club Champions. Your past financial record prior to 2008 was dodgy to say the least; you finished behind Fev, Halifax, Leigh and Barrow last term and you're in an area bursting with other RL clubs, not the least of which is new club Wrexham, the apple of the RFL's eye

that is history now alan,

steve o'connor has created arguably the best run club in the game due to his business accumen,

as for the crowds, they will come back to our super league levels when we were the 6th best supported club in the division.

on field. the box was ticked in 2009 and then the efforts were concentrated on the club as a whole rather than the des johnson style of brown envelope payments.
