Just had it on good authority that there WILL be a Saints match on Boxing Day against as yet unknown opponents. There is also a possibility of another game on NEW YEARS DAY!!

This are besides the under 20's final on Saturday, St Helens Town match on Tuesday plus Thatto Heath V Haresfinch.

"They think it's all over....."

They should just let go after Friday night so I can collect my square foot of turf and get it bedded into the front lawn before winter

Just heard that there will be NO extra game on New Years Day. However,...there will also be another charity game....PLUS...a giant "Fans Farewell" Marquee will be erected which will cover the pitch for the best part of a week in November.

Do you think you can get a discount on you turf Alan?! :o ;)

Knowsley Road'll end up like Wilderspool. Still there with tumbleweed rolling around, Brian Bevan's ghost appearing and saplings growing up through the terracing six years after Warrington Wolves moved out

In 1972 Ossie Davies said when he proposed the new buildings at Wilderspool, "If we are not successful we will knock the stadium down and build houses on it"

38 years later it is still there. I do hope that the Saints don't try to squeeze all of the juice out of the orange. Let's get the last match played and move on.

Ossie Davies, there's a blast from the past. He must have been followed by that car dealership guy, Peter Higham

I know, Carlisle played Warrington Wizards in Summer Conference (National) there in May. It's rapidly crumbling but the pitch is in good nick.

Can't believe it no more KR. Got our daughter a bit of it in a keyring for her birthday. Definately won't be the same atmosphere, I haven't been able to go to a game for years, but you can still feel it through the medium of tv. A state of the art ground it might be, but it will never be like KR.

I'm really looking forward to the pilgrimage tonight but I know that win, lose or draw, I'll shed a tear on the long trip back up the M6

Brilliant last match at KR. Had a few moments of cobllywobbles and then as usual the Saints stepped up their game and dazzled everyone there. Paul Wellens had a fantastic game as always and King Keiron made his usual well thought out and timely contributon. Wonderful kicking from Foster, and all the Saints determined to win. We are back at Old Trafford. Just have to wait now to see who we are up against. :thumb:

Wonderful, magical night. Very emotional atmosphere with a good crowd. Huddersfield brought more than I expected too. Didn't get back home until 12.30 but well worth it
