I think it's Stanley Bank Farm (House)
A friend has just told me that it belonged to a lady named Bessie in the 60s and probably before that, it had stables but they don't remember seeing horses.
They had pigs, chickens and it was also an arable farm.

Was Stanley Bank Farm not the actual farm that was further up the track? This house is not too far from the ship. I can remember someone telling me a ghost story about it, that it had a 'white lady' I think!

I'm not getting on at people (I am really), but quoting the previous post is BAD and it irritates the hell out of me. You know better than this! Be good.

I hope no one minds, but I'm putting this thread back into circulation.
I was talking to Swimmer in the Chat Room about The Sankey Valley and I
told her I'd previously put some links about it on Connect.
So Swimmer, the links are above. Enjoy. :thumb:

As you come down Blackbrook Road, the first turning is to the Reform school, the second leads past the club follows round to the church, St Mary's Blackbrook. If instead of turning to go to the church you carry straight on, you then come to "The Sisters of Mercy Convent, opposite that was a farmhouse.
That is the best I can remember. Hope it helps.

Suddenly went like this last night. :dunno:

Oh now that I've posted, it's gone back to normal, never mind.

Now that it's gone on mine, I miss it, but there's lots of snow here anyway! :skiing:

Do any of you Computer experts know how it happened?
