Well, after keeping away from any results, I turned on the TV to watch Saints V Hull KR,
only to find they were showing Saints V Salford from last week! So I'm not just a day
behind, I'm a week behind! BUT, I still enjoyed it even though they lost. It's years
since I watched the Saints. I used to go every week at Knowsley Road when it was
Len Killeen, Tommy Bishop, Vollenhoven, etc. Next week it's Saints V Hull KR, but
don't worry about keeping the score a secret, I already looked up the results.
Didn't they do well! Tell me all about it, I won't mind.

A very 'homegrown' team Saints have nowadays Phyll. 11 of the squad 17 against HKR come from Saints' own academy, and 6 of them are under 20 years old, which makes the victory all the more impressive.

These youngsters still have a lot to learn, they still keep getting caught out of position and they don't take the pressure as weel as the older heads, but they're developing great and I think it bodes well for the future.

So do I.
Cracking match, perfect weather and the pop side in good voice.
Not forgetting him indoors birthday announcement and scoreboard message.
Donks, I can't find the words to the Kyle Eastmond song?
The Proclaimers one, 'I would walk 500 miles'

I've heard people singing it but I can't figure out the words yet.

I think it must go something like this:

Oh, I would walk five hundred miles and I would walk five hundred more
I would walk five hundred miles
Just to see Kyle Eastmond score
(then instead of the da da da da etc)
it's
'Kyle Eastmond' repeated and sung fast as the chorus.

The difference between the Salford and Hull KR game was unbelievable.
At Salford Saints didn't even look like a team. Just a disparate bunch of strangers thrown together for a bit.
The Hull KR game was brilliant.
Hope you get to watch it Phyll.
