I noticed a few months ago that as you walk towards Thatto Heath from Leslie Rd, just as you get to the dam (and is this Lugsmore Dam or Thatto Heath Dam) there is a post built into the wall surrounding the dam. On this there is what appears to be a Cast Iron Lug as if it was used to support a gate at some point. Not a point of interest I hear you say as there are still houses there, But..... the Lug is pointing accross the road towards the set back terrace whare Alex Murphy lived. Does anyone know anything about this?
