Hi Joe,
I'm connected to Elizabeth, the daughter of John bricklayer and Mary (Doward)
John and Mary are in the 1861 census with recently married daughter Ann (Jones). John died before 1871. Mary is in the 1871 census with a few grandchildren and her brother Francis Doward (transcribed as Thomas for some reason).
John seems to be the son of John (also a bricklayer) and Mary Beesley.
The Lancashire Online Parish Clerks site has loads of records for Prescot.
Regards
Bevo

John & Mary are still at Hillock Street in 1861, RG9/2745 Folio:84b - found them after a quick search in the 1861 database on this site!!
Have you looked at www.familysearch.org for the children?
Cheers
Clive

I am also a descendent of John and Mary Brown through their son James Brown. I have a suggested family tree for the Browns of Prescot going back to about 1700, all from Prescot Parish registers. I also have some pages about members of the family, all Word documents, which I could send you by email or post if that can be arranged.

That makes John Brown his brother and my ggg Uncle(???).
I have just set up a family tree website and I've put the details there
http://www.berrymcke...11&tab=1&pid=15
will take you to the page for Martha
I haven't done any help pages yet but - clicking on any name will take you to their record - clicking the tree icon anywhere will give you the tree and the person icon will give you the detailed information
on the home page is a search toll - you can enter a name in any combination i.e first then surname or vice a versa - a surname will give you a full listing - wild cards are not yet support
Hope this helps
