I can't find any other UK records for Rupert Upton, but have found the following:
1909 immigration records: R Upton, profession 'Tailor Cutter' sailed from Sydney Australia to England
1911 census: Rupert Upton age 23 was lodging at 532 Greenfield Road, St Helens with Thomas & Letitia Fishwick. His profession is given as 'cricket professional' and he was born in Sydney Australia.
A contact in Australia has also come up with a Rupert Upton who came over here at about this lime and played Rugby League for Barrow.
Rupert & Alice setted in Australia sometime after 1913 and they appear on the 1931 & 1936 Australian electoral rolls.
This is a really long shot that anyone can shed any light on Rupert - is my Rupert Australian or is it just coincidence?
Thanks for reading!
