Well is that it then? Have we got it? Or are there more hidden traps we'll fall into?

Still holding your breath?

I believe that the contract process in so close to being completed that a start date, possibly the first week of the new year,2010,is expected.

As has been reported earlier the Knowsley Road Stadium will close the week after the Grand Final in October.
We will wait and see if they can build a new stadium in the time available before the beginning of 2011 season.

I wish them all the best of luck and smooth running in the building process.

Best wishes to the Chairman and I hope he can see this project through to a successful conclusion.

May we all be there in Jan/Feb 2011.

I heard something from someone I'd expect to be in the know that the Tesco store is meant to be ready and open for Christmas 2010, so you might expect that the stadium will be ready at the same time. But we'll see. :)

News straight from the Chief Ex. of the Saints in the Star this week.Link above.

The old Stadium will close around the end of October 2010, with a start date perhaps May 2011.

Some Home matches to be played away at the beginging of the season.

The game of picking the "Best team of..." will feature as this season goes on.

Perhaps you might try out a few on here.

Would you pick Sculthorpe at No 6 or No13? Who are the others in these positions?

How do you compare Alf Ellaby with Tom Van Vollenhoven or Ade Gardner?

Sean Long with Alex Murphy...etc.

The Saints team that beat Wigan at Wembley on Saturday May 13th 1961 will, in my opinion, never be surpassed for quality, skill, guts and determination. I've been to about twenty Wembley, Murrayfield and Twickenham CC Finals but the first Saints Wigan one was the best

I suppose we'll have to haul our asses over to the Stobard Stadium in Widnes if, as looking likely, our new one won't be ready.
Oh joy.

Stobart here we come then.
Handy enough for Tellins based fans but a bit of a pain for us out of towners.

Fine if you're in the Manor or Clock Face area.
Bit of a haul from Wigan though.
Even the side nearest Tellins!
