i used to go there in the 70's, i swear that the seats in the Shere Khan Indian takeaway might be the same ones that where in the bar that was on the left hand side of the front door, i don't remember the land lords though, can anyone name any of them? :)

i used to hate going under the subway to get to the pub as well, it always smelled of p*ss

We used to call it the loaf, oh how we laughed

I remember Joe and Rose Trumble had the Float in the late 80's early 90's. They had to retire due to ill health. oh happy times :D isn't it a spar shop or doctors now?

I used to work there when Fred and Linda owned it, that was 1985/86 but prior to that, we used to drink in there and the Liverpool Arms and The Cricketers, from 1978 onwards. Betty and Jimmy used to have the Float in the late 70's. Sorry cant recall their surnames

Happy days !!! Funnily enough I found some photographs of us all in the Float yesterday !!

the left part is the shere khan takeaway and the right hand side is now the spar, which coincidently has been shut down recently for some reason
