does anyone remember fredericks ice cream in college st. when was it knocked down i think it was still there inthe 60s,over to you eddie. ;) :( :( :(

I thought it was in the Peter Street / Kirkland Street area

It wasn't in College St to the best of my knowledge Brunty.

That's where I remember it being as well, Alan. Did they perhaps have another factory/shop there or maybe it was a different firm altogether.

Was it actually in Central St Brunty the short stretch off College St before it turned parallell to the marshalling yards?

eddie i remember the old building facing the school set back maybe 20yds off college st would central st. go so far down.

no eddie it was were brunty said,just were you go into the police station entrance,it had petrol pumps in front??

Brunty Central St. went from Laithwaites across Standish St., right down then turned right and came on to College St next to Hartley's Shopfitters.

I don't remember the petrol pumps being on College St.

eddie it was fredricks garage,it had a wooden frontage?they did work for anyone who needed repairs?

I agree with Alan, always called when we had been to the baths in the 60's.
