that may be the old lady who used to sit in church st. near naylor st. selling cotton,needles etc. that must be 50 yrs ago.

I think those used to be called 'bath chairs' at the time. There was an elderly lady in Lingholme Road (ex school teacher) called Miss Tabernacle who had one. I don't remember seeing her out and about in it very often though - think she used to go into the park on a nice summer day but that was all.
