school at corner of farnworth/trinity st

:D can anyone remember the school in farnworth st it was run by nuns and the kids that went there went to holy cross next i think it was st. joseph's, though this may not have been it's full title i can't remember what year it was demolished

Pretty sure it was St Josephs R C Primary School

Your right Eddie it was St Josephs, I attended that school from '64 to '67,then I went Holy Cross in Charles St. as my parents had moved to that area, and you're correct, kids did go from there to Holy Cross Juniors.

As for when it was demolished Blonde15, I'm not sure, I think it was still operating as a council depot in the 80's.

I did Meals on Wheels in Rainford and Garswood in 1985 and that's were we picked the meals up to take out.

I went there from'62 to '65 and the day i left we were walked to Holy Cross by Mrs Atherton who came to pick us up.Don't know when it shut as a school but it wasn't operational in 1980
