There are is an Environmental Factsheet E/08 produced by the St Helens Council some years ago, which is headed Sites of Community Wildlife Interest. The Haresfinch Burgy Bank is listed 2W5 as being 16.07 hecacres.
For those who would like to read about "Emerging Ecosystems in Urban and Peri-Urban Areas" by Ian Douglas. University of Manchester, it can be downloaded from the Council site.
For those who want a laugh, and why not, read Ray French. Uni. of Leeds foreword on Duggie Greenall.
