    Hi, just wondering if anyone knows anything about J & J Woods foundry in Rainhill, or may have even worked there. It could be called Woods Reliance Foundry or something like that. I live in Australia and have a brass porthole that has J&J Woods RAINHILL stamped on it. Also showing the “RELIANCE” trade mark. It has number “40” on it near the hinge in 2 places and I wondered what that may mean or what it refers to. I believe the foundry was wound up in 1972. Have a lovely Christmas everyone.
