and stop messing with the wendy ball as Alan would say.

Saints v Hull next week, Sean Long THEIR captain. :yikes:
Bring em on. :)

Note to Dave (who probably rarely ventures in the sports section) too many smilies are bringing a touch of the BH's out.

It's been a long wait since the Internationals. I'm looking forward to the sell-out game from Wrexham tonight

Can't see Wrexham (or whatever they're called now) putting up much of a fight against Leeds tonight. But I'd love to see them beat the chicken wingen' lyin' on barstewards.

I thought their 6 - 34 defeat was reasonable considering the rub of the green Leeds received. They were drawing 6 - 6 into the last 20 minutes so a decent result really.

Just a capricious thought: If Widnes can ever get their arses into gear, stay solvent, have a decent season by winning a trophy and make it into Superleague, it'll be a decent derby against them

I thought with the scores level at 65 minutes the Crusaders may just pull it off.
Leeds had the luck and an outrageous decision by Thaler.
Still, early days and they showed a lot of promise.

I expect Widnes were smarting when it looked like Crusaders were going down the pan last year especially when it was only 'financial irregularities' which kept them from winning a Superleague place.

Alan, that is no cause at all for celebration!
The other RL programme was much better.
Is it on again this year?

You mean the BBC one? No idea chuck but Boots n All is OK, especially if they minimise Mike Stephenson's contribution. By the way, he's not a bit like his screen persona in real life. I had a late night drink with him at the Peebles Hydro after the Saints Wigan game at Murrayfield and he's a really quiet and unassuming sort of guy

You realise how bad the Saints ground is when looking at that pic at the top of the thread. The new ground can't come soon enough.

Nip over to redvee and read the thread on there
'an open letter to the board at Saints'
Says it all really.

Please God our illustrious Chairman stays true to form and sacks the coach midway through the season.
Bereft of ideas, lazy Leon and an aging squad mean the new stadium will be empty of speccies at this rate.
Well done Hull and Sean Long, at least you tried.

Watched the derby (wendy ball), then settled down to watch the rugger on me majic box  and i was well gutted, couldnt see a thing. Do you think if that was saints v wolves (or indeed any relativley close team) theyd of abandoned it? cant help thinking it was coz of them traveling fans all the way from Hull that they played.
